Scribing - Commissions On Public Display

Carbrooke, Norfolk The art of illuminating (ie. decorating) handwritten texts was developed in religious centres nearly a thousand years ago, so it is perhaps not surprising that many of the commissions I receive are for parish churches that wish to hang a commemorative text or display a memorial item (in Carbrooke, Norfolk for example - see right, enlarged - 86k).

Marriage Plaque But remarkably, some 70% of my calligraphy artwork is privately commissioned for family home display, usually by people wishing to set a favourite modern verse or inscription in a traditional form.

Here is a list of some of the places where examples of my calligraphy are on public display. Please contact me if you want to discuss commissioning any special piece (religious or otherwise!).
