Wedding Save-The-Date Cards

Save-The-Date card 2006
Save-the-Date card, 2006

Save-The-Date Cards are sent by engaged couples to their relatives and friends up to a year in advance of a wedding, so as to give all the prospective guests notice in good time to keep the date free.

They are an increasingly popular means of announcing a wedding as they help the happy couple to establish the likely guest availability before having to make final arrangements for reception-venue booking. They can be created with a simple decoration, but equally they can be designed to carry a "themed" wedding motif.

8th C. Half-Uncial script decorated in silver (ring motif) and gouache.
Size 15x10cm (6"x4") approx.

Relatively inexpensive to create in bulk, a single unique design is created by hand which can then be reproduced in as many copies as the couple requires (arranged by me or by the couple themselves) via any printing establishment.
